Overview:

This class is designed to give individuals theory, application and technique in sourcing, mixing, creating and applying various types of clay and lime plasters and paints. You will leave with knowledge and recipes to do these plasters and paints in your own home.

• Learn about clay and lime as the binder for natural plasters
• Learn how to make your own clay and lime plasters
• Learn the application of plaster to various substrates
• Learn how to make and apply various clay and lime paints and washes to these plasters

Techniques covered - this is a sampler class where we will touch in on the following systems:

• 2 coat veneer plaster (both clay and lime) over drywall and wood fiber board
• Clay and lime based paints and washes to go over natural plaster
• Demonstrations on discussion of other substrate applications
